The youth choirs presented "The Rock Slinger and His Greatest Hit" by
Tom Long and Allen Pote on May 13, 2001. In this well-known Bible story, there
is a wonderful balance of the humor of musical comedy with a powerful message
of a courageous faith in God.
The Rockslinger tells the story of David and Goliath. There are lots of
really fun songs, some corny jokes that adults will love and, most important of
all, a lesson about how to deal with the giants in our lives that we can't
conquer by ourselves, but with God's help we can conquer them.
