Hello all,
We are safe in
Nuremberg,
and the Ringers put on a fabulous concert for
St. Jakob's Church
last night. It was a travel day for the most part -- a lot of card games,
sleeping, reading, and joking on the bus. We had a wonderful time in
Prague.
I am sure it will be a favorite for most of us. The ghost tour from
the night before was interesting. The guide was very spooky and
definitely set the mood. The masked ghosts who popped out from behind
buildings made us laugh rather than scream, which was quite amusing for
all of us.
Back the the concert yesterday...we arrived to
St. Jakob's
where we were all enthralled by its architecture. We set up and
then were treated to a homemade
Nuremberg
meal of sausages and potatoes, pretzels and juice. After we ate up
we got ready to go, and to our surprise the people at the
church
gave Charles the key to play the organ. So Charles, with no practice,
played a stunning piece to open the concert, and all of the Ringers
were then excited to start playing. The concert rang well and all
of the Germans came up afterward to ask questions and to learn how
to ring bells. :) It was a great night, ending with ice cream and
devotions. Everyone is doing well, and we will fill you in on our
adventures in
Nuremberg
today.
The Ringers send their love. I will get pictures up as soon as the
attachments will go through.
