Hello all,
Day three has been spectacular. We left the hotel this morning at
8:15 a.m. and made our way to the
International Baptist Church.
The ringers played at both church services and it went wonderfully.
Our host, Paul Rogers, commented that often Germans do not clap in
a worship service and the Ringers received a standing ovation and
played an encore. The congregation loved them!
Our bus driver, Armen, picked us up and escorted us to the hotel
where we rested up for about an hour and then headed out to the
Marien Kirche
where the Ringers played a concert in conjuction with a German youth
Christian choir. It was a great time of hearing different kinds of
music and meeting young German people. We then had an authentic
German barbeque, wurst and all. The Ringers ate it up, except for a
few, who said it will take a bit to grow on them. :)
Lindsay's suitcase arrived early this afternoon and is all set to go.
It has been a gift to watch all of the Ringers today. They are so
excited to be here and experience new things, and they are eager to
learn the German language and to try and comunicate with the people
here. They are so much fun to be with!
The leaders are having a great time and are recuperating from the
flight well!
We miss you all and have tons to tell you already!
Lots of love,
Olivia (and the Bell Ringers)
