Hi Bell Parents and Friends,

We boarded the bus at 9:00 AM for a two-hour ride to the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon. The church is a beautiful parish church dating back to the 13th century. It is the church where William Shakespeare was baptized, where he worshipped, and where he lies buried in the Chancel. The town of Stratford-upon-Avon is where Shakespeare was born. Today, it is a quaint town that draws thousands of visitors each year.

We arrived around 11:00 AM, set up the bells, and had time for lunch in town before our 1:00 PM concert. The concert was well attended and appreciated by the listeners. After the concert, the ringers had an opportunity to climb the stairs to the steeple. Then we went into town to visit the many shops and tourist attractions. A large park on the Avon River is a very popular place to visit. Some of the ringers went canoeing on the river.

After a good day in Stratford-upon-Avon, we boarded our bus around 5:00 PM for the trip back to our hotel. We had dinner on our own at some of the good resturants in the area near our hotel. Devotions will be held at 10:30 tonight. We have been holding devotions each evening around 10:00. They have been good and generated interesting discussion.

All is well. Tomorrow we are off to Salisbury.
