2004 Calvin & Chapel Ringers Handbell Tour
California

Previous day     Return to Tour Summary

Hi Bell Parents & Friends,

We were up very early this morning in order to meet at the Point Loma Church at 6:30. After loading the luggage on the bus, we were off on our 10-minute trip to the San Diego Airport.

At the airport, we unloaded the bells and luggage, went through security and boarded Continental flight 1827 which took off around 8:15 PDT. It was a smooth, uneventful flight which landed at Newark Liberty Airport around 4:25 EDT. We were greeted by several parents who took us and the bells back to Tower Hill Church. Thank you, parents! We are all a bit tired and glad to be home, and very thankful for a great handbell tour!

We would like to thank the Calvin and Chapel Handbell Ringers for their excellent demeanor, individual contribution for making this a very successful handbell tour, and the sheer joy of their exuberance which keeps us all young. Their parents should be very proud of them.

And many thanks to Judith Werner, without whom this trip would not have been possible. She is a wonderful leader, director, and "pseudo-mother" for our ringers.

We are very pleased and thankful to have been chaperones for our bell ringers for this trip. They are fine young people.

Dawn & George
