2004 Calvin & Chapel Ringers Handbell Tour
California

Hi Bell Parents & Friends,

We were blessed with wonderful home-stay hosts last night. Thank you, hosts!

We spent Day 7 in SeaWorld which has a lot of attractions like the killer whale Shamu, the Dolphin Discovery show, and rides like Shipwreck Rapids, and the new Journey to Atlantis to name a few. We had a great time.

At 4:45, we boarded the bus and went to the Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church. The church is very similar to ours in terms of size and structure. And, they have an interim minister and are searching for a new pastor. After setting up the bells, we were treated to a very tasty Mexican supper by members of the Point Loma Church. Thank you, Point Loma friends! Then the ringers played their last concert to a very appreciative audience of about 60 and received a standing ovation at the end. Way to go, ringers! Sadly, it was Ken’s last concert with the Calvin Handbell Ringers. Ken has graduated high school and will be attending college in the fall.

It was a special day for Rob K. and Rachel M. who were celebrating their birthdays. Happy Birthday, Rob and Rachel! Also, Katrina’s grandparents, aunt and cousin were in attendance again. Rob K’s aunt and uncle from Irvine, California, were there to help celebrate Rob’s birthday. And George Sumrall’s two daughters and grandson were there.

After the concert, we all went to our home stays. Tomorrow, we plan to spend the day at Mission Beach followed by dinner in Seaport Village.

All for now,

Dawn & George
