Hi Bell Parents,

It was raining when we awoke. We met our bus at 8:30 and were off to Stavanger. We really enjoyed our time with our host families in Arendal. They were very gracious and hospitable. There were tears shed on both sides when we said goodbye.

We decided not to stop in Grimstad and Kristiansand because of the rain. We stopped at a rest stop for a quick lunch. Then we arrived in Stavanger a couple of hours early. So, we are enjoying the shops and stores in the center of Stavanger. We will go to the American Lutheran Church at 5:30 for dinner followed by a concert.

I have some 12 pictures from yesterday (Day 5) which I'll get to Delaine soon. The Stravanger Library is about to close.

More later,

George

Part 2:

In my message yesterday, I incorrectly wrote that we were going to the American Lutheran Church. When we got there, I found out that it was the Stavanger International Church. It is a small non-denominational church with an Interim Minister, Bob Isaksen. After a delicious dinner, we set up and played a good concert to an appreciative audience of 25 - 30 (many Norwegians are away on vacation in July). Then we went to our home stays.

On Day 7, we are scheduled to see a couple of museums and perhaps go swimming. Everyone is doing well.

More later,

George
