Serve Beyond

SERVE BEYOND

You don’t have to be go to seminary to be a minister. Every member is a minister. Our folks support ministries around the world. Serving is a great way to grow, meet others, and discover your calling.  Find a program that fits your schedule, and commit to Christ’s work by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and providing for those in need. Contact Missions@TowerHillChurch.org for more information on how you can help.

ADULT MISSION TRIP
IMG_0876

Eva Russell School, Monte Plata, Dominican Republic A week long trip, usually in March, to work at a Christian school and orphanage for children who have been marginalized in the western part of the Dominican Republic. This is a joyful, rewarding trip with comfortable housing, three meals a day and plenty to do. We spend our time teaching teachers, painting, doing minor repair work, running a book fair, and spending time with the children. Individuals are responsible for the cost of the airfare. Contact Susan Miller to get involved.

YOUTH MISSION TRIP

This is a yearly opportunity for students to make a difference by joining nearly 400 teenagers from across the country in showing the love of Christ to communities in need.  We partner with Group Mission Trips to help create incredible mission experiences that connect teenagers with Jesus and with one another.  This week-long trip, held each summer, is open to students 9-12th grade.  Our Senior Pastor, Jason Tucker, has served on leadership for over 30 camps since 1996.  For more information on deadlines, cost, or further details about this year’s trip, please email Pastor Jason or Jeff Cook.

CHURCH WORLD SERVICE MINISTRIES

Blanket Drive and Tools for Hope Each year Tower Hill joins in a drive to provide blankets and tools to families in need throughout the world through  the organization, Church World Service.  On Mother’s Day honor a special woman in your life — a mother, sister or daughter – or on Father’s Day honor a special man in your life — a father, brother, or son — by contributing to these worthy programs.

CROP Walk is the community hunger appeal for Church World Service, working to alleviate hunger here at home and around the world.  Red Bank Crop Walk is the largest of  all volunteer hunger walks in the country. Tower Hill walks as a team and we welcome help and participation on Walk Day. Contact Kim Smith to get involved.

EVA RUSSELL SCHOOL & ORPHANAGE, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
h-7

Since 1995 Tower Hill Church has supported the Eva M. Russell School in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic. This small country Christian school provides education and meals for very poor street children who lost one or both their parents and cannot afford food, clothes, or  schooling.  Many members of Tower Hill provide sponsorships  for individual children to attend school. Our annual mission  trip focuses on training the teachers to work with the challenges of their classrooms. To that end we organize book fairs where the congregation of Tower Hill donates appropriate Spanish language books for each child and for the school library.

DANITA’S CHILDREN, HAITI

Danita’s Children is a non-profit organization whose mission includes rescuing and caring for orphaned children, and meeting their needs spiritually, physically, academically, and emotionally.  Danita’s Children has over 100 orphans, provides a school to educate over 500 children, as well as providing 18,000 meals for children each month. A church and congregation of 500 Haitians provides a place of  spiritual hope and worship. Tower Hill sends a mission team to Haiti and sponsors creative fund-raising events.

MISSION TO GHANA, WEST AFRICA

Dinah Abbey Mensah is a missionary from Ghana who attended Tower Hill Church while she was studying at Princeton Theological Seminary. We have provided funds to buy sewing machines so the women of her mission in Ghana have the means to earn a living and send their children to school.   These efforts have helped to foster receptivity to the gospel.
