Workers in Transition
Men and women searching for jobs come together to share ideas and
resources, mutual encouragement and spiritual guidance. It is very
much a networking opportunity. It is not just about getting a job;
it is about getting a life. We share our specific work situations
with each other as well as the resources we have found in hopes of
helping each other to make useful contacts and, ultimately, find
gainful employment. Click

information on
Workers in Transition.
Stephen Ministry
Tower Hill has a group of people skilled in caring for those facing
challenges in their lives. These people, called Stephen Ministers,
have undergone extensive training to develop their caring skills.
Following their commissioning, they began their caring ministries
in our congregation and community. Click
here for more
information on Tower Hill's
Stephen Ministry.
Grief Care
A new Grief Care Ministry Team has been formed to provide short-term
support to help bereaved familes and friends through the mechanics
and stress of the funeral or memorial service process. This is a
Nurture Team ministry.
Card Ministry
A large group of volunteers sends birthday, Christmas and Easter
cards through the Just Friends
program. All visited members receive cards as do all other members
over the age of 80. Currently, 53 members are recipients of cards.
If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact
Susan Miller through the Church office at 732 747-1348.

Visitation
Just Friends
This is a group of persons who reach out in friendship to
- people facing long-lasting illness
- people who are frail, elderly, and/or homebound
- people in retirement or nursing homes
These "Friends" are youth, elders,
deacons, and interested Church
members organized with a lead person into geographic zones of our Church
members.
Responsibilities include:
- Making appropriate contact (phone calls, see at worship,
visitation, cards)
- Determining who needs "home communion" and request pastoral
staff assistance
- Inform pastors of any needs that should be addressed
(hospitalizations, changes)
- Assist the Flower Committee
at Christmas, delivering flowers to our "friends"

Home Communion
As part of the Just Friends
ministry, volunteer elders accompany a pastor on visits where
communion is taken to the homes of members who are not able to
attend church. There is a volunteer elder for each of 7 area
districts, with an additional 4 substitutes. Visits are made
nearly every Tuesday and Thursday.
