Children's Ministries
NEW! Bible Memory Program
Volunteers to work with children and youth in our many
Sunday morning and weekday programs are needed and welcomed.
Watch the bulletin for sign-up times.
Sunday School
A new year of church school has begun for
children 5th grade and below during the 9:30 a.m. worship hour.
Teachers are needed for all age levels. If you love God and
enjoy children, we need you. You'll be part of a team, so you'll
always teach with a partner. The commitment is usually four or
five Sundays (a unit of our rotation curriculum), but what a
special ministry! Share your faith, and change lives --
including your own! Please contact Wendy Jones through
the Church office at 732 747-1348 if you feel the Lord
nudging you toward a teaching ministry.
- Infants to Two Years Old: Childcare is provided for
children age 2 and under during the 9:30 a.m. worship service.
Children should be taken to Room 108 before the service. Pagers
are available to take to the Sanctuary. Parent volunteers
provide the supervision.
- Age Three to Five: Children from age 3 through
Kindergarten go directly to their
Sunday School
classrooms before worship and should be picked up immediately
following the service. The focus is on introducing Bible
stories and building friendships with children.
- Grades 1 through 5: Children in 1st through 5th grades
attend Church with their parents and leave following the Children's
Moment. They meet their teachers in Webster Hall and go to their
Sunday School
classrooms, which vary each week. Room assignments are listed
in the worship bulletin. Children may be picked up at their
classrooms following the worship service.
Summer Sunday School:
We have a more relaxed schedule of Church School in the summer.
See the worship bulletin for details.
Nursery and Elementary School
-
Tower Hill School
A weekly educational program for children ages 3 through 8,
sponsored by our church. It is licensed by the State of New
Jersey and is staffed by certified, early childhood teachers
who are assisted by parents. The school programs, which are
developmentally based, include a cooperative nursery school,
extended day care, kindergarten, pre-first, first, second,
and third grade classes. Enrollment is open to families in
the church and surrounding communities. For more information
call the school office at 732 747-1393.
The Children’s Ministries Committee
welcomes anyone who is interested in children’s faith in God.
Committee meetings take place at the beginning of each month.
We oversee the Church School programs, plan special events,
and brainstorm for new ideas that will help us keep our
children’s program fresh and faithful.
How Can You Help?
We need volunteers who feel called by God to share their
faith with the children as church school teachers, advisors
to our 3 youth programs, VBS
leaders, or members of the
Children’s Ministries Committee.
We welcome help from parents and grandparents and from all
who love children. Some training is required and is provided
by the Church. For details, contact the main office at
732 747-1348.

and Bible study for children 4 years old to entering grade 6 in

For children entering grades 1 - 8 in September. This week-long
gathering of young people under the direction of the
Music Department offers opportunities
to explore the worlds of rhythm and song with instrument and
voice. The unique program of Christian music and fun has grown
to 140 participants. If you are an adult inclined toward music
and children and could take time in August, help is needed, so
please contact Sue Falzone at 732 747-1348.
