English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are being taught at St. Anthony's of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Red Bank by Tower Hill Church volunteers on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Volunteers are urgently needed to help staff the classes due to the overwhelming response to the class offerings.
Manna Closet
The Manna Closet program of the First Presbyterian Church is an active ministry run 52 weeks of the year by the Board of Deacons. Food is collected through donations. There is a cupboard by the office entrance.
Donated, non-perishable foods are placed in the cupboard any time during the week. Food donations are also solicited from groups within and outside of the Church, (Sunday School classes, Scouts, youth groups, deacons, etc.).
The food is stored in a closet in the Sunday School building. People in need of food come to the attention of the Manna Committee through a referral system, bags are packed accordingly and the food is distributed, usually by way of pick-up by the client.
Turnover of the food is generally quite high, with the need for donations of food continual.
Praise God! "You give them something to eat." Mark 6:37. How to help? Place non-perishable foods in the Manna cupboard at any time.
